Souzane Kankera

Souzane Kankera, age 87, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by the love of her family on Monday, April 25, 2022. She was born January 1, 1935, in Masisi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, to the late Joseph Rwabigwi and Griseria Kanzage. Souzane will be deeply missed by 3 sons, 1 daughter, 31 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mikazire Masozera, 3 daughters, and 1 son. Visitation is from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022, at Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 3627 Linden Avenue S.E. at 36th Street (one block west of Eastern Avenue), Grand Rapids, where funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. and followed by burial at Resurrection Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Burial arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids, 616-452-3006.
