Silvia Castro

Silvia Castro, age 55, of Holland, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 while at work in Allegan County. The daughter of Anastasio & Annita (Villanueva) Chavez, she was born on November 3, 1959 in Cerano Guanajuato, Mexico. She enjoyed working in her garden and loved flowers... but her greatest enjoyment was sitting outside with her family and watching birds. She especially enjoyed doves. Silvia was well loved and will be missed by her loving husband, Salvador; children, Diego and Marcela; her brothers and sisters, Maria Eugenia Chavez, Angela Chavez, Beatrice Chavez, Juan Chavez, Lorenzo Chavez & Armando Chavez; and her church family. Visitation is from 4-5 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2015 at Cathedral of Saint Andrew, 215 Sheldon Ave. S.E., Grand Rapids, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rev. Father Joachim Lally will preside and burial will take place in Cerano Guanajuato, Mexico.
