Shirley Ann Townsend, age 75, of Stanton, Michigan, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025 under the loving care of her family and Corewell Health Hospice. The daughter of Douglas James & Dorothy Matilda (Beebe) Wiggins, she was born on January 8, 1950 in Evart, Michigan.
Shirley retired from Wright Plastics in Sheridan and enjoyed collecting dolls and finding bargains at yard sales and thrift stores, however her greatest joy was found in being a Mom and Grandma.
She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas J. Wiggins; and four siblings, Douglas Wiggins, Jr., Karen Light, Roger D. Wiggins, and Rose Marie Wiggins.
Surviving are her mother, Dorothy Wiggins of Greenville; a son, Tony Blondeel of Modesto, California; a daughter, Stacie Moffett of Mosheim, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Katie Pratt, Kerstyn Knight, Noah Knight, Dallas Blondeel, and Logan Cody; four great-grandchildren; five siblings, Jan Hodge, Loretta & Donald Forist, Dwight “Ike” Wiggins, Richard & Donna Wiggins; and Lonny & Robin Wiggins; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Visitation is from 1-2 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Christiansen’s Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Burial will take place privately at Forest Hill Cemetery in Stanton.
