Shirley Ann Painter

Shirley Ann Painter, age 82, of Lakeview, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Corewell Health Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids. The daughter of Raymond Lorenzo & Ruby Leona (Echols) Powell, she was born on August 1, 1943 in Galesburg, Illinois. On June 17, 1960 in Hernando, Mississippi, she married Loren Lee Painter, and together they enjoyed over forty-three years of marriage and raised three children.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Loren Lee Painter; her brothers, Leroy, Floyd, David, Joy, and Laverne.

Surviving are her children, Lori & Mike Pollock of Stanton, Jana & James "Jimmy" Newman of Howell, and Scott Painter of Morrice; eight grandchildren, Lacey, Aaron, Jacob, Lauren (James), Katie, David, Elaina (Devin), and Alexander, eight great-grandchildren, Javen, Brynlee, Tenlee, Madison, Langstin, Lyric, Riley, and Henry; and many nieces and nephews.
