Shirley Berry

Shirley Ann Berry, age 83, of Sparta, went home to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior. She left this world peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who always put others first. She retired from General Motors in 1992 and spent her retirement years traveling the U.S., wintering in Florida, and visiting with her family. Shirley loved to sew, knit, and crochet. She was preceded in death by Jim, her husband of 65 years, her parents, Sam and Agnes Purchase, her brothers, Frank and Dick, and her sisters, Margaret Purchase and Clara Lou VanderZee. Shirley is survived by her sons, Steve (Marianne), Ken (Brenda); grandchildren, Erica (Drew), Mary Jakubowski, Nicole (Tom) Lynch, James Jakubowski, Zach (Melissa), Taylor, Alex, and Gabby; 3 great grandchildren Jazmine, Cloe, and Greyson; her brother, Bob. A luncheon will be served from 12pm-2pm on Dec. 30 at the Sparta Civic Center, 75 N Union St # 4, Sparta, MI.
