Shelley Catlin

Shelley Marie Catlin (née Baranowski), aged 71, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024, in Lowell, MI. She was born September 22, 1952, in Grand Rapids, to the late Roman and Virginia Baranowski. Shelley was a cherished figure in her community and beloved by many. Shelley spent her formative years at Mt. Mercy Academy before embarking on a vibrant career in the restaurant industry. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to purchase her own bar, Sneakers, in 1986, which she managed with passion and dedication. Known for her generous, thoughtful, and fun-loving nature, Shelley enjoyed pontooning and spending quality time with friends. She created countless cherished memories on the water and at gatherings, always ensuring everyone felt welcome and valued. Shelley is survived by her husband, Casey; son, Luke; daughter, Ann (Paul); siblings, Cathy (Terry) and Jim (Sally); in-laws, MaryKaye ( Rick ), Clancy (Vicki), Patty, and Dennis (Trish); as well as nieces and nephews, Kelly, Katie (Jay), Emily, David, Meg, Matt (Sarah), Andy (Laura), Katie (Brad), and Nick (Brea). She was preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Virginia Baranowski. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Lowell Showboat, 110 Riverwalk Plaza, Lowell, MI, 49331.
