Shelby Durbin

Shelby Ellen Durbin, 25, died on December 22, 2021, surrounded by her family at her home. Shelby was born February 29, 1996 in Lansing where she spent her childhood and graduated in 2014 from Haslett High School. She loved spending time with friends, family especially her two siblings and her husband, Nicholas Reed, and their four cats who have been emotional support animals during the long cancer battle. She is survived by her mother and step-father, Denise (Cowan) and Steven Lemire of Beaufort, South Carolina, formerly of Houghton Lake; father, Jeffrey Durbin of Lansing; sister, Macey Durbin of Nashville; brother, Alex Durbin of Lansing; grandfather, Patrick Durbin of Gladwin; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids, Michigan, 616-452-3006. A Catholic funeral mass will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Saint Mary Cathedral, with Fr. William Lugger presiding.
