Sharon Elaine (Miller) Scofield, age 55, of Gowen, passed away late Monday evening, September 21, 2015 at her home. The daughter of Nelda (Swartz) & Ernest G. Miller, Sr., she was born on November 19, 1959 in Greenville and was a graduate of Greenville High School.
Sharon worked at Kalfact Plastics in Greenville and Rockford for 23 years until the company downsized her position and then worked as a caregiver for seven years. She enjoyed watching "Dance Mom's" on television, canning vegetables, Sudoku puzzles, and spending time with her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a nephew, Ernest G. Miller III. Surviving are her longtime friend, Herman Collins of Gowen; her children, Beth Ann Landers & Bob Green of Springfield, Missouri, Becky & Matt Byrne of Greenville, and Randy Scofield of Gowen; eight granchildren, Kyla Mae Landers, Caylob Ernest Landers, Sharee Jane Landers, Katie Savage, Autumn Byrne, Joclynn Byrne, Mya Byrne, and Ethan King; brothers and sisters, Ernest G. Jr. & Mary Miller of Gowen, Linda (Borstler) & Ron Klunder of Gowen, Mike & Sharon Miller of Cedar Springs, Marcia & Rick Jeffrey of Sheridan, Pam & Clarence Strecker of Greenville, and Brenda & Bryan Sowles of Greenville; and many, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation is from 12-1 p.m. on Saturday at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Rev. Tommy D. Turner, Jr., pastor of Jesus Non-Denominational Church, will officiate and burial will follow at East Montcalm Cemetery.
