Sharon was born April 23, 1933 at the Booth homesteaded farm in Homer, MI. Sharon was one of the first deliveries made by Dr. R. K. Curry. His parents were Norman and Berniece Booth. He is survived by his son Earl of Jackson, MI, brother Jerry and his wife, Susan, of The Villages, FL, three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Sharon's death came on Sept. 25, 2014 after four bouts with colon cancer over four years. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Marilyn, two sons, Douglas and Leonard, and his sister, Nancy Lowder. Sharon graduated from Homer in 1950 and attended college in Minnesota. He was employed with Clark Equipment for over 35 years. A special tribute goes to Jeannie Dowding, his companion and caregiver for the past two years.
A Memorial service will be held at the Masonic Temple in Homer at 1:00, Friday, October 3rd. In lieu of flowers, Sharon requested that memorials/donations be given to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.
