L. Scott Wilson, age 43, of Greenville, passed away Monday, July 24, 2006. The son of Larry J. Wilson and Joyce Ann Thomson, he was born on Sept. 9, 1962 in Greenville. He attended Greenville High School and was employed with S. Abraham & Sons (SAS) in Grand Rapids since 1992. A devoted father, he found his greatest joy in spending time with his family, and delighted in working on cars with his son. On May 16, 1991, in Greenville, he married Colleen S. Terry, who survives.
Also surviving are his children, Beth Ann & Sgt. Jason Matthews, with the U.S. Air Force, Jessica Evans of Kentwood, and Corey Scott Wilson, at home; a granddaughter, Sammie Lynn Rusche; his father, Larry J. Wilson & Paula Brancheau of Greenville; his mother, Joyce Thomson of Greenville; two sisters, Deb & Vic Foster of Greenville, and Kim Hall and friend, Steve, of Sidney; many, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 28, 2006 at Shiloh Community Church, Orleans, with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. A luncheon will follow the service, with burial taking place privately at Rest Haven Memory Gardens. Visitation is on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville.
