Scott Makie, age 60, of Muskegon, MI passed away peacefully on May 5th, 2026. He was born on October 19th 1965, in Daleville, Alabama to Robert and Mardell. As a child in a military family, he lived in many places over the years, but football always remained his passion. He established a career in the manufacturing field in various roles including roll forming. Beyond his professional life, Scott loved rock and heavy metal music and playing golf. Scott was also an avid supporter of the Muskegon Big Reds football program. He will also be remembered for his love of the Detroit Redwings, Michigan Wolverines and enthusiasm for music including the band Kiss.
He is survived by his sister Kari Gordon; nephews Adam Snyder, Robert (Lynn) Gordon and James Gordon; and his great-nephew Wyatt Gordon along with other close friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Mardell and his brother Gerald. Per his request, he will be cremated with no service.
