Scott Kerstin

After living his life devoted to his Lord and family, Scott Kerstin went into the arms of Jesus October 10, 2020. Seventeen months ago, Scott received a diagnosis of brain cancer which we knew would be incurable. He immediately set his heart on the word JOY and determined to make everyday "the best day ever". Scott seemed to be inexhaustible in his pursuit of all the outdoor activities he loved. Snow skiing, hiking, biking, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, to name just a few. He especially enjoyed these activities with family and friends. Utah was a favorite destination to experience God in nature. Scott loved traveling the world but also found great contentment in his own back yard oasis. He is survived by his treasured wife of 34 years, Paige and their 3 sons Coltin, Trent, and Cody. He is preceded in death by his mother Irma Kerstin and his sister Denise Sommer. He is remembered with love by his father Donald Kerstin and his siblings Kari (Martin) Evak, Christopher (Kimberly) Kerstin, Roger (Rebecca) Kerstin. His parents-in-law John and Donna DeJonge and his sister in laws Alison (George) Burns and Jodie DeJonge. Scott very much enjoyed being an uncle to 20 nieces and nephews and a gr-uncle to 7 1/2 great nieces and nephews. Scott's life was made rich by his many lifelong friends, ministry partners and caring neighbors. Service will be help at Ridge Point 340 - 104th Ave, Holland, MI 49423 on Friday, October 14, 2022, from 1:30 - 2:30 visitation and service at 3:00 pm.
