Sarah Cowdin

Mrs. Sarah Frances Cowdin, age 78, of Greenville, formerly of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday morning, May 5, 2007. Sarah was a breast cancer survivor of 36 years. She volunteered at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus, Grand Rapids, and Spectrum Health United Memorial United Campus, Greenville. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Greenville. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven sisters and her son, Ralph E. Cowdin Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, R. Ed Cowdin; a daughter, Sarahlynn Cowdin, son, Michael Wayne Cowdin and wife Sandy; grandchildren, K.T. Cowdin and family, Kevin Cowdin, Kaitlin Cowdin, Sarah Elizabeth Murray; many nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Charles Gates and Carl Rapper. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Henry Danielsky and his family for their support and care during Sarahs long illness. Burial took place privately on Monday afternoon, May 7, 2007 at Rosedale Memorial Park, Grand Rapids. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at Calvary Baptist Church, 130 N. Luray at West Grove Street, Greenville. Since Sarah loved children, in lieu of flowers the family wishes donations to be made in Sarahs memory to Lincoln Lake Baptist Youth Camp, 15113 Lincoln Lake Avenue, Gowen, Michigan 49326.
