Obituary

Sandra "Sandy" Lee Warner, age 66, of Greenville, Michigan, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, July 31, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer, under the loving care of her daughter and Faith Hospice.

Born on May 7, 1960, in Hastings, Michigan, Sandy was the daughter of Michael Homer and Patricia Jo (Janose) Warner.

Sandy dedicated many years of her life to caring for others as a certified nursing assistant in home health care. She also brought joy and laughter to countless families as a professional clown, making history as the first female clown, known as "Babbles," to perform with the Saladin Shrine Circus. She found happiness tending her flowers, spending time outdoors, and bringing smiles to those around her. Above all, Sandy cherished her family, and her greatest joy was the time she shared with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Marshall Homer Warner; and sister, Candace Warner.

Surviving are her son, Chad Warner and Tara Kruse of Traverse City; her daughter, Amanda and Kevin Long of Greenville; seven grandchildren: Yalaria Stine, Éva Alvarez, Hannah Long, Eva Long, Kane Warner, Norah Long, and Jonah Long; the father of her children, Larry Anderson; stepdaughter, Heather and Jeffery Flater of Surprise, Arizona; stepson, Troy Anderson of Peoria, Arizona; her brother, Robert and Barbara Warner of Martin; several nieces and nephews; her dear friends and "second family," Shawn and Susan Flees and their daughter, Cameron; and her best friend and fellow clown friend, Christine Mol.

In accordance with Sandy's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life is being planned and will be announced at a later date.

Memorial contributions in Sandy's honor may be made to her family to assist with final expenses or to Faith Hospice.
