Sandra Towns

Sandra L. Towns, affectionately known as "Sandy", age 72, of Stanwood, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Corewell Health Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The daughter of Dale & Jayne (Stilson) Towns, she was born on April 7, 1952 in Big Rapids, Michigan. Sandy dedicated herself and her home to over twenty years of caring for children by running and supervising her own daycare. Some of her fondest memories were from camping with her family. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, normally on one of her walks. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Linda Lamb; and her brothers, Ben Griswold, Dick Griswold, Norm Griswold, and Ronald Towns. She is survived by her son, Robert (Jody) Zuern of Big Rapids, MI; her three grandchildren, London, Hayden, and Atlas Zuern; her siblings, John (Mary) Griswold, Bill (Maureen) Towns, Jim (Corrine) Towns, Sharan Freiberg, Diane Griswold, Linda (Bob) Veene, Shirley Griswold, and Raymond "Butch" (Linda) Griswold; and many nieces and nephews.
