Sandra Jean VanSyckle Carper Tiffany, age 86, of Remus, formerly of Greenville, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025 at her home after a brief illness. The daughter of Floyd W. & Lucrettia Belle “Peggy” (McLachlan) Snow, she was born on November 26, 1939 in Greenville and was a graduate of Greenville High School.
On January 14, 1956, in Belding, she married Lee B. VanSyckle and together they raised four daughters and enjoyed 40 years of marriage until Lee passed away on July 25, 1996. On March 11, 2000 she married James L. Carper and they had twelve years of marriage until Jim passed away on May 11, 2012. On St. Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2013, in Greenville, she married Myron L. Tiffany and they made their home in Devine, Texas for a few years. They returned to Michigan and made their home in Remus.
Over the years, Sandy had attended Calvary Baptist Church and the First Congregational Church, both in Greenville, and was a long-time member of the Ray I. Booth American Legion Post 101 Ladies Auxiliary, also in Greenville. More recently, she and Myron attended Wheatland Church of Christ in Remus. Sandy retired from the former K-Mart store in Greenville and enjoyed crafting and music, especially the music jamborees at the American Legion.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Lee VanSyckle and James Carper; a sister, Elaine Hodges; and two brothers, Robert Dunn and Dennis Snow.
Surviving are her husband, Myron Tiffany of Remus; her daughters, Leeann & Timothy Johnson of Big Rapids, Laura & Bradford Siek of Brooksville, Florida, Joanne & Jeffrey Pierce of Owosso, and Janet & Squire Taylor of Idlewild; her step-children from her marriage to Jim Carper: Laura Pritchard, Irene Carper, Paula Geister, Patricia Abbott, Joy Hale, Jerry & Patricia Carper, Michael & Peggy Carper, John Carper; her step-children from her marriage to Myron Tiffany: Greg & Grace Tiffany, Penny & Lloyd Curtis, Daniel Tiffany, Pamela & Dave Hann, Vicky & Will Profit, and Gail Albright; a sister and two brothers and sisters, Carol & Thomas Blumberg, Larry & Mary Snow, and Ronald & Gerry Snow. Also surviving are sixteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; many step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, and step-great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 12-1 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Christiansen’s Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Her grandson, Rev. Daniel J. Lepley, senior pastor of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Greenville, will officiate and burial will take place privately at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.
