Sandra Pohler

Sandra Kay Pohler, 54, passed away early Saturday morning, February 2, 2019, at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital, with her family at her side. The daughter of Leroy & Joyce (Ryner) Doehring, she was born May 1, 1964 in Grand Rapids. Sandra was a talented photographer and had a passion for all things outdoors, especially camping. She also loved to attend Art Prize in Grand Rapids. Sandy was known for her no-holds-barred opinions as much as for her incredible capacity for love, kindness and going out of her way to help people in need. She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy. Sandra is survived by her mother, Joyce; sisters, Evelyn, Barbara, Rosemary and Lisa; son, Gerrit; along with several cousins, nieces and nephews. Although she had no grandchildren, she loved her sister's grandchildren as though they were her own. A Celebration of Life is planned 3 P.M. on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Eagle's Nest Church, 540 Leonard NE, Grand Rapids, 49504. Visitation with the family will begin at 2 P.M., a time of fellowship and refreshments will be held following the service. She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy.
