Sally Trestrail

Sally Jeane Trestrail, age 92, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 8, 2022. She was born July 7, 1930, the only child of Nell and Earl Purvis. Sally attended Grand Rapids Schools and completed her education with a degree in home economics from Grand Rapids Community College. She married William Trestrail of East Grand Rapids on October 4, 1952, and were happily wed for fifty nine years before he passed away in 2011. They established Trestrail Insurance Agency and worked there together until their retirement. After retirement, they moved to Silver Lake in Rockford and enjoyed all aspects of the "lake life." Sally was preceded in death by her husband, William; her parents; and her parents-in-law, Don and Ruth Trestrail. Sally leaves behind her three sons, James D. (Lynn), Jeffrey A. (Beth), and John R. (Laurie) Trestrail; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Nicole, Claire, William, and James Jr.; and three great-grandchildren, Bella, Gio, and Nicco Trestrail. Per Sally's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no formal services. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids, 616-452-3006.
