Miss Sally Elaine Templar, age 42, of Antioch, Tennessee, formerly of Greenville, passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006 at the Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, Tennessee, after a short illness. Sally was a graduate of Greenville High School and Draughtons Junior College in Nashville, Tenn. She, along with her sister Susan, worked at the Whirlpool Corporation manufacturing plant in Lavergne, Tenn. A lifelong University of Michigan Wolverine fan, she also loved watching NASCAR.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Irene Templar-Wittkopp; her father, Leman Templar; and her step-father, Bruce Wittkopp; an aunt, Alice Martin Pierce; and an uncle, Maurice Linderman, Jr.
Surviving are a sister, Susan Templar of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Gary & Brenda Templar; step-brother, Bruce & Cathy Wittkopp; step-sister, Tammie & Joe Ritter; nieces, Nichole and Katrina Templar, all of Greenville; aunts and uncles, Dale Wittkopp of Saginaw, Sharon & Preston Lockwood of Dallas, Oregon, Beverly & Paul House of Greenville, Earl & Julie Linderman of Carson City, Phylis & Larry Overcast of Shelbyville, Tenn., James & Lynn Linderman of Concord, North Carolina; two great-aunts, Lucille McLachlan and Lillie Basney; and a great-uncle, Elvin Shelden, all of Greenville.
Memorial services were held at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006 at the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, with the Rev. Jerry Jones, pastor of the First Congregational Church officiating.
Graveside committal services are at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.
