Ruth Steggles

Ruth Marie Steggles, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away at the age 92 on Friday, April 21, 2023. She was born on March 20th, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan and was married to her late husband, John "Jack" Steggles, for over 70 years. Ruth was a dedicated mother, raising four boys and came to Grand Rapids from Bradenton, Florida, where she had settled after retirement. Ruth was an avid golfer, enjoyed traveling, an enthusiastic bridge player, and also enjoyed the company of her many friends. She is survived by her three sons, Mike and Carol of Ada, John and Debbie of Grand Haven and Jeff and Debbie of Torch Lake, daughter in law, Kim Moerchell of Clinton Township and brother, Robert Sippel of Dearborn Heights; as well as late son Mark of Rochester Hills, and late brother, Jack Sippel of Clifford, Ontario; seven grandchildren, Lauren, Shawn, Allison, Samantha, Zac, Jacob and Madison; and two great grandchildren, Brayden and Beckham. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
