Ruth Saunders

Ruth A. Saunders, 71, of Kalamazoo, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, in hospice care. Ruth was our parents' firstborn child. Ira and Jean Saunders would go on to have 5 other children, but Ruth was the independent one. She had some interests and lived in various cities during her life. Her siblings think her greatest joy was her son, William. Ruth loved him with all her heart. Ruth was preceded in death by our parents, Ira and Jean Saunders, and our sister Barbie Buck. Survived by: Her son, William, of Kalamazoo, MI. Ruth had 1 brother, David(Rita), of Oak Lawn,IL, and 3 sisters, all of whom live in SC. Laura (Allen), Pauline and Katie. These siblings gave Ruth nieces, Sara and Audra, both of SC, and Rachel of Harbor Springs, MI. and nephews, Daniel, of Las Vegas and Matthew, of Michigan. Per Ruth's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, please give to your favorite charity, in Ruth's name. I believe Ruth and Barbie are reconnecting in heaven. They would really love it if their family stay connected. I do know Ruth enjoyed seeing our posts.
