Ruth Blanchette

The Lord has done his calling upon Ruth Ann Blanchette who was asked to leave her Daughters home to join Him in Heaven on Sunday August 31, 2014. Ruth was a wonderful, loving, caring Mother and best friend to her daughter Angela her sons Wayne, Tim, and Scott. Ruth was very crafty. She made blankets, slippers. hats mittens. and scarf's for her children and grand-children for over 40 years. Ruth also enjoyed working with plastic canvas. The Daughter of Harry & Dorothy (Mathews) Downing, she was born on October 15, 1950 in Fremont, MI. Where she resided in West Michigan for her entire life. Ruth is survived by her husband, Craig Lee Blanchette, her children Wayne & late Wendy Berson, Tim & Becky Berson, Scott Berson, and Angela & Scott Sharum, her sisters Cheryl & late William Hendrie, and Edith & late John Hughey. Along with 24 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The service will be held on Thursday, September 11 at 1:00 p.m. at Its a Newday Fellowship, located at 96 South Seaway DR, Muskegon MI 49444. With Pastor Al Frarkas officiating. There will be a lunchen to follow. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.
