Rudolph Wood

Rudolph August Wood "Rudy", age 87, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, August 20th, 2012. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Patricia True; daughter, Janet; son, Thomas; five grandchildren, John, Thomas, Melissa, Bradley, and Matthew. Rudy was an award-winning National Accounts Manager and a master builder. His great passion was music and he himself, was an accomplished musician. Rudy served during WWII, Headquarters Co. 1st BN 42nd Rainbow Division, earning three bronze stars (two for valor) and the Presidential Unit Citation. However, he was most proud of his Combat Infantryman's Badge. He will be remembered for his deep commitment and love for his family and the many lives he touched.
