Ross Martin Towne, age 58, of Gowen, passed away at home on Sunday, April 10, 2022 under the loving care of his family and Spectrum Health Hospice. The son of Albert & Sandra (Haines) Towne, he was born on St. Valentine's Day, February 14, 1964 in Belding. On December 7, 1984, in Stanton, he married Tracy Lynne Kirby and together they enjoyed 37 years of marriage and raised two children. Ross spent most of his working years as a mechanic and delighted in restoring just about anything with horsepower! He was preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents, Louis & Betty Haines; paternal grandparents, Walter & Mildred Towne; a brother, Louis Walter Towne; a nephew, Trever Towne; his mother-in-law, Carla Musser; his father-in-law, Bud Kirby; and three brothers-in-law, Mike Crysler, Kirt Henkels, and Brad Newland. Surviving are his wife, Tracy Towne of Gowen; their children, Ross Martin Towne II & Samantha Loper, and Alicia Grant; eleven grandchildren; a brother and three sisters, Albert & Cindy Towne, Cindy Crysler, and Becky Shepard; siblings-in-law, Will & Alisa Kirby, Trudy & Tim Carnes, Lonnie & Caryn Kirby, Trisia & Monte Newland, and Randell & Teri Kirby; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews; and many dear friends. Visitation with the family is from 12-1 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Christiansen's Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday with the Rev. Steven Bills, pastor of Greenville Bible Methodist Church, officiating.
