Surrounded by love, Rosemary (Sinicropi) Terres, 76, went to Our Lord on August 31, 2025, after a life of love and laughter. She was born on February 21, 1949, in Lansing, Michigan.
Rosemary is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Richard Terres, two daughters, Christen Scharaswak and Katherine Decker, three grandchildren: Jacob Scharaswak, Mia Scharaswak, and Genevieve Decker, brothers Anthony Sinicropi (Betty) and James Sinicropi (Kathy), Aunt Edith Chmielewicz (the late Richard Chmielewicz), former sons-in-law Chris Scharaswak and Chris Decker, and many nephews, nieces, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and countless others who filled her heart with joy.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Domenic Sinicropi and Virginia (Sinicropi) Greenwood, stepfather John Greenwood, Aunt Antonette Perrelli (Alfredo), Uncle Anthony Sinicropi (Lynn), and other treasured family members.
Rose attended Resurrection Grade School and was a 1967 graduate of Gabriels High School in Lansing. She proudly embraced her Italian heritage and extended authentic family traditions to every part of her life. Rose was a faithful, loving, and caring wife, mother, grandmother, family member, and friend. Whether baking holiday cookies with family and friends, making homemade sausage, meticulously planning a special event, or caring for others, Rose’s indomitable spirit shone. She mentored young women as a cheerleading coach, had a passion for sports and entertaining, faced challenges courageously, and maintained a special place in her heart for her beloved grandchildren.
Rose’s family extends their heartfelt appreciation to everyone who has surrounded her life with love and compassion. Special thanks to the entire Sinicropi and Perrelli families and to Ryan Koss and Craig McKay for their tireless and continued support. Rose will be deeply missed.
The family will receive visitors at 10:00 am on Friday, September 26th, at St. Martha’s Catholic Church, 1100 W Grand River Avenue, Okemos, MI 48864. A funeral mass will then celebrate her life at 11:00 am, followed by a luncheon at the church’s Parish Hall.
