Rosemary Darling

Rosemary Anna Darling (Smigiel), 69 of Grand Rapids, MI passed away Friday, January 3, 2020 of kidney failure and other health issues. Rosemary was born in Grand Rapids, MI on December 30, 1950. She graduate from West Catholic High School, Class of 69. She married her husband in 1975, had three children and helped raise many others. She joins her husband Ivan 'Ike' Darling , mom, dad, and other loved ones in death. She's survived by her children Lisa (Salvador), Angie, and Ikey, and grandson Zayden. Brother Ted (Wanda) Smigiel. Sisters-in-laws Claudia (Kenny) Holton and Ruth (Barry) Hoestra. Brother-in-laws Bill (Viann) and Terry (Robin) Darling. And many nieces and nephews. A remembrance will be held on Saturday, January 18 at 2 PM at Coit Church located at 600 Lafayette Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. Hope to see family and friends there. After a long battle with multiple health conditions she has gone to be with her Heavenly Father. She had a pure heart and would do anything to help others, even if it was her last. She was the happiest being around her family and friends and she loved it. A quiet person but spoke up when needed. She was an earth angel and will greatly be missed.
