Ronald Richter

Ronald James Richter, aged 79, passed away at home under the loving care of his family and Spectrum Health Hospice, on Monday, June 20, 2022. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on March 26, 1943, the son of Leon and Angeline (Cieslewicz) Richter. He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 58 years. Ron cared deeply for his family and friends. He would always put others before himself. He had a great sense of humor. When he was younger, he enjoyed water skiing, campfires, vegetable gardening, making candles, and stained-glass art. Ron was a loyal employee of Rapistan for 45 years. In his retirement he continued his love for creating art with wood inlay called intarsia. Surviving is his wife, Kathleen (Doyle) Richter; three children, Brian (Deborah) Richter, Mark (Marnie) Richter, and Christine (Tom) Owczarzak; seven grandchildren, Justin, Ashley, and Brandon Richter, Mya and Maria Richter, Lauren and Gabriel Owczarzak; one brother, Roger Richter and his kids Deborah Richter-Polanic, Jeff Richter, Teresa Richter; sister-in-law, Judy Richter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Angeline Richter; one brother, Richard Richter. Services for Ronald will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at St. Robert of Newminster Catholic Church, 6477 Ada Dr. SE, Ada, MI 49301. Visitation will be at 10:00 A.M. and the service will follow at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations in Ronald's name to the charity of your choice.
