Ronald David Green Jr., age 63, of Lansing, Michigan, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2022, after a brief battle with cancer. Ron was born on March 1, 1959, to Rachel (Galvan) Green and Ronald David Green, Sr.
Ron was a lifelong resident of Lansing and was the family daredevil. If it moved, he was on it. Mini-bikes, hockey skates, skis, bicycles and unicycles, you name it! There are many stories to be told of Ron's adventures. Ron was a carpet installer and was proud of his work. He was an avid fisherman, spending time on many of Michigan's rivers, lakes and streams, in all types of weather. One of his favorite places to fish was on the Grand River right here in Old Town, and he was always happy to share his love of fishing with the kids in the family. Ron's other passion was making music, especially Rock and Roll, Motown and the Blues. He played the electric and acoustic guitar as well as the harmonica, and he was always happy when he was jamming with his friends! Ron made lots of friends during his life and many of them remained lifelong friends who were by his side right up until the time he left this earth.
Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Rachel Green; father, Ron Green, Sr.; and brother, William Green.
He is survived by siblings, Isabel DeLaCruz, Ramona Green, Geneva (Paul) Christofferson, Audrey Sabrina Salazar, and Lindsey Phillips; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank Sparrow Hospice for their compassionate care.
A memorial service to celebrate Ron's life has been planned for Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Crossroads Church, 102 W. Cesar E. Chavez Ave., Lansing, MI 48906.
Ron always ended his conversations with "I love you in my heart." Ron will forever be in our hearts.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids, 616-452-3006.
