Roger Mosketti, age 73, of Grand Rapids, left this earth to go to his heavenly home after a three month struggle on Sunday, July 16, 2017.
He proudly served his country as a United States Marine and toured in Vietnam. Roger was an employee for GM for 32 years. He retired and spent time in South Carolina, till he returned to Michigan to marry Lauralee. Roger enjoyed woodworking, cooking, golfing, gun collecting and traveling.
Surviving are his wife, Lauralee (Lollie); children, Samuel Mosketti, Jeanne Mosketti, Mike (Bonnie) Stroven, Lori Dood, James (Jennifer) Dood, and Nick (Denise) Dood; grandchildren; and one great-grandchild affectionately called "sugar lump".
Memorial services with full military honors will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Rosewood Reformed Church, 2795 Rosewood St., Jenison with visitation one hour prior to the service. Family would also ask if you would like to join the luncheon following the service.
The family would like to thank Spectrum 4 Heart Critical Care and the Spectrum Specialty hospital on Fuller and all who were involved in Roger's care. Contributions in his memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
