Roger Jones

Roger D. Jones, age 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 21, 2024. Roger will be lovingly remembered by his children, Dawn (Mike) TenBrink and Nicholas Jones (granddaughter Payton); significant other Marcella Rockwell; sister Linda (John) Rupert; many nieces and nephews and their families; and numerous friends. Roger was born March 23, 1941 to James and Gladys Jones of Greenville, Michigan. He was tenth of eleven children in the Jones family. After graduating from Greenville High School in 1959, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for seven years. He was stationed both abroad and stateside. After being honorably discharged, he returned to Greenville where he continued to serve his community by becoming a police officer for the Greenville Department of Public Safety. Roger loved to keep active and social by working out, kayaking, playing tennis, biking, and wood working. He was loved tremendously and will be deeply missed by many. A graveside memorial will be held at 1:00 pm on April 6th, 2024 at Rest Haven Memory Garden, 8690 Storey Rd, Belding, for family and friends. After the graveside service a luncheon for friends and family will be held at 2:00 p.m., April 6th, at the Candlestone Golf Resort, 8100 Story Rd, Belding.
