Roger F. Bingman, age 83, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Born on October 28, 1942, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, Roger lived a full and vibrant life marked by his passions, dedication to family, and service to his country.
Roger proudly served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1966. An avid collector and Harley Davidson enthusiast, Roger found immense joy in riding motorcycles and curating unique collections. Above all else, Roger cherished spending time with his grandchildren. Whether sharing stories or creating lasting memories together, they were the light of his life.
Roger is survived by his loving children: Jasmine (Brad) Roggenbuck and Christopher Bingman; his beloved grandchildren: Cadence, Alexandra, Isaiah, and Alexander; and his devoted sisters: Ruby (Bob) Conely, Rayna (Ed) Kozerka, Romayne Palmer, and R. Lynn Johnson. He was predeceased by his parents, Frederic Bingman and Loretta Auw; as well as his brother Richard Auw.
Roger’s legacy is one of love for family and an adventurous spirit that inspired those around him. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date to honor Roger's life.
