Roberta Miller

Mrs. Helen Miller, age 77, of Dimondale, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. The daughter of Robert & Margaret (Bruce) McCord, she was born on Dec. 12, 1932 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. For almost 30 years she worked as an account analyst at the State Employees Credit Union in Lansing and had been active in the Beta Sigma Phi sorority as well as the State Employee Retirees Club. An avid reader, Helen also enjoyed attending theater events at the Wharton Center, but found her greatest joy in bringing together her family especially to celebrate the holidays. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert McCord; her step-father, John Sorensen; her mother, Margaret Sorensen; a sister, Margaret Keech; and a nephew, William Keech. Surviving are her children, Julie (Michael) Braun of Grand Ledge, Scott Miller of Trufant, and Sheila Davies of Lutz, Florida; her childrens father, Kenneth H. Miller of Trufant; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Shannon) Bathrick, Nicole (Mark) Mule, Melissa (Jim) Brown, Heather (Craig) Campbell, Wesley Davies, Ken (Anne) Miller, and Kristin Braun; eight great grandchildren, Isaiah, Noah, Mariah, Carter, Mason, Emilee, Skylar, and Atticus; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation is Monday from 2-3 p.m. at the Christiansen Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. The Rev.
