Robert Swindell

Robert Kenneth Swindell, age 74, of Sheridan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids with his family by his side. The son of William & Edna (Sundell) Swindell, he was born on February 16, 1940 in Saginaw. For many years he worked in retail management and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and playing bingo at the Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his second wife, Diane. Surviving are his children, Shelly & Jerry Reynolds, Tom & Diane Swindell, Amy & Dan Taft, and Micah & Stacy Swindell; two brothers, Bill & Marcia Swindell, and Harold & Sharon Swindell; a sister, Lorna Cowles; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Honoring his wishes, a private family gathering is planned and contributions in Robert's memory are suggested to the Spectrum Health Foundation-United Hospital, 703 S.
