Robert Schmidtke

Robert Perl Schmidtke, fondly known as Bob, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023. He was born March 01,1957, in St. Joseph, Michigan, to the late Robert Frederick & Donna Jean (Richards) Schmidtke. Bob graduated from Lakeshore High School in 1975. He worked in the HVAC and property management business for over 30 years. He was an avid Michigan fan who loved to hunt and ride out on his four wheeler in northern Michigan. He was well known for playing jokes on his friends and family. He had the most contagious smile and you could always count on him for a laugh. He leaves behind his daughter Sara (Jeff) Fleming, son Brandon (Sydnee Rogers) Schmidtke; his partner Mary Jo Donahoe; granddaughter Olivia Fleming; siblings Linda (Larry) Castle, Gail (Steve) Hergenrather, Steve Schmidtke, Mike Schmidtke, Richard Schmidtke; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that he adored. Cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held at this time. While no service is currently scheduled, a Celebration of Life ceremony will be announced at a future date.
