Robert Gerald Rosborough, age 91, of Alma, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Masonic Pathways in Alma. The son of Henry Garrison & Susan Rebecca (Carter) Rosborough, he was born on July 10, 1923 in in Buffalo, New York. Recently of Alma, the Rosborough's lived in Potterville for many years and made their retirement home at Lake Isabella.
While working at Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas, whom he played hockey for, he met and married his wife of 66 years, Shirley (Goodwin) Rosborough... or as Bob always referred to her, 'The Luckiest Woman in the World!' Following a hockey career, Bob worked many years as a carpenter and was very proud of all he accomplished... especially building homes for his family.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley Rosborough; two sons, Craig Rosborough and Christopher Rosborough; a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca & Lynn Mishler; two grandchildren, Jami (Mike) Way, and Jason Mishler; great grandchildren, Brody Way, Carson Way, Kyle (Doey) Mishler, Kayla Mishler, and Samantha (Cameron) Abfalter; and two great-great granddaughters, Peyton Abfalter and Hayden Abfalter; a brother and sister-in-law, Jack & Corky Rosborough; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine & Jim; and a brother and sister-in-law, and Puddy & Romaine .
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Masonic Pathways in Alma, and as we wished a Memorial Picnic for the 'Handsome & Genius' will begin at 3:00 p.m. on July 11, 2015 at the home of his daughter.
Honoring Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place. Instead of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in Bob's name for Alzheimer's Research. Donation envelopes available at the services.
