Robert Lang

Lang, Robert 1/26/1938 - 8/28/2022 Robert Paul Lang, age 84, passed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, August 28, 2022, after complications from a fall on his bike. He was born January 26, 1938, in Grand Rapids, MI, to the late Ralph and Blanche (Stauffer) Lang. Bob married the love of his life, Betty Lou Helmus on May 28, 1959. Together they raised their three wonderful children and celebrated 62 years of marriage before Betty passed away on September 17, 2021. Bob is survived by his children, Scott (Kathy) Lang, Julie (Eric) Myers, & Amy (Dale) Main; sister-in-law, Sherry Helmus; grandchildren, Ryan (Linnea) Lang, Jake (Sarah) Lang, Lexie (Ryan) Hoogendoorn, Makayla Myers, Ally (Jake) LePard, Noah Myers, Kyle (Jackie) Main, and Katelyn (Caleb) Clementz; 10 great-grandchildren and one on the way. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; parents, Ralph & Blanche Lang; parents-in-law, Gerrit & Helen Helmus; great-grandson, Jase Paul Main; siblings, Doug & Marilyn Lang, Phyllis Edwards, Ron Helmus and Karen Jolman. Per Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place. Gathering of family and friends will take place on Thursday, September 1, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Grandville Bible Church, 4122 44th Street, Grandville, MI, with the Celebration of Life Service starting at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grandville Bible Church.
