Robert Knight

Robert James Knight, age 89, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, formerly of New Mexico and Chicago, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. He was born March 28, 1933, in Decatur, MI, to the late Edgar and Florence (Creagan) Knight. Bob graduated from Decatur High School with the class of 1951. He went on to enlist and proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Bob is survived by his sister, Rosemary Hogmire; sister-in-law Kay Knight; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Louise (Ernie) Kraus, Lois (Fred) Pennell, and Jean (Roy) Biek; brothers, Norman Knight and Jack (Elaine) Knight; and brother-in-law, Max Hogmire. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids, exclusive providers of Veterans Funeral Care.
