Robert Gardner, Jr.

Robert Walter Gardner, Jr. "Bob," aged 76, of Saranac, passed away on April 29, 2022, at home, peacefully and surrounded by his family. Bob loved and was loved by his family and friends. He was a tool and die maker by trade; he loved solving problems and planning things out! He also enjoyed growing vegetables, cultivating grapes and experimenting with a variety of spices in his gardens. Papa was always the most devoted fan and the loudest spectator at sporting events for his grandsons! Bob loved camping, cruising on his Honda Goldwing, and taking trips to the U.P. with his family. Most of all though, Robert loved teaching his children, and then later, his grandchildren, how to solve their practical problems with good old fashioned common sense and by doing it right the first time! Robert will be very much missed by his surviving children, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his brother and sisters, many other relatives, friends and neighbors. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.
