With deep regard and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Robert John Isanhart, who passed away on January 24, 2025. Born in Barryton, Michigan on March 30, 1971, Robert, affectionately known as Bobby, spent his entire life in the community he loved. He was a constant presence, a beacon of hard work, resilience, and genuine kindness, making a significant impact on those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Robert’s journey through life was marked by an enduring spirit, a love for the open road, and a heart full of kindness. As a devoted truck driver for many years, he found joy in the solitude of the road and the thrill of new destinations. He was not merely a transporter of goods, but a carrier of stories, experiences, and the tangible connections that bind us all. His working life was a testament to the enduring American spirit, echoing Robert Frost's words, "The woods are lovely, dark and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep."
Robert's love story with his beloved wife, Becky, began on October 9th, 1988, when they pledged their lives to each other. Their bond was a beautiful testament to enduring love, companionship, and mutual respect. Their shared life was a tapestry of shared dreams, laughter, and precious moments. He is survived by his loving wife, Becky. The joy and love he brought into her life will forever be treasured. He had a great love for his children, Kasey (Trent) Vogel, Kyle (Danielle) Isanhart and Korie (Dakota) Minkel. Even more so when he became a Grandpa to Ellie Roi Vogel, Anders Rett Vogel, Peyton Dawn Isanhart, Hadley Mae Minkel and Garret Anthony Minkel.
Robert was preceded in death by his dear parents, Roy and Della Isanhart, who instilled in him the values of love, hard work, and kindness; and several aunts and uncles.
He loved our Sunday dinners, trips to the zoo, and the local fairs. He cherished many road trips and adventures with his wife of 36 years, Becky Isanhart. He will be greatly missed for his stories and fatherly advice.
Words that Bobby lived by..."Now when I die, I may not leave my kids a fortune but I hope they know'd my life stood for things that were important and I'll hand out the same sturdy old values of my daddy and my momma it made me every ounce of what I am and I got it honest."
Robert’s legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. We invite you to share your cherished memories of Robert and upload photos to his memorial page, as we remember his life and the love he shared with us all.
Per Bobby's request we will have a celebration of life at a later date for all who want to come and share a memory.
