Robert A. Haddix, age 68, a lifelong resident of Edmore, passed away suddenly at home Sunday, June 9, 2019. Bob was born to Victor Lewis and Wilma Mae (Humphrey) Haddix September 4, 1950. Raised on the family farm, Bob graduated from Montabella, class of 1968. Bob married the love of his life Carol Marie Link on June 15, 1978. He was a loving husband, and they raised two daughters, Brandy Mae and Ashley Renae. Bob enjoyed his friends and family - always ready for a good game of horseshoes or cards, loved watching "Gunsmoke", the Detroit Redwings, and the Detroit Tigers. Bob enjoyed camping, going to Wheatland and the Hillclimb, hunting, and of course, snowplowing. Bob was a great man with a great sense of humor. He was known for his laugh, and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Bob worked construction for over 30 years with TB contracting, Pioneer Steel, and was most recently employed by Knights Auto. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Victor and Wilma and one brother, Jim. He is survived by his wife Carol, of 40 years. Daughters Brandy (Mark) Cutler, Edmore, and Ashley (Nate) Haddix, Stanton. One granddaughter Chloe Jane, sisters Kathy Smyth, Sally (Russ) Whetstone, brother David (Shirley) Haddix, and many loved nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family is from 1-3 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2019, at Grace Fellowship Baptist Church of Edmore, 3480 E. Howard City-Edmore Road (M-46), Edmore, where memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday with Pastor Harry Goldberg officiating. Honoring Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place.
