Robert Bird

Robert Curtis Bird, age 76, of Tallmadge Township, MI, previously from Belding, MI, passed away at home with his family by his side on Saturday, July 11, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard & Esther (Teddy) Bird and his daughter, Heather Bird. He will always be treasured by his wife, Yvonne Kishman Bird; sons, Stephen Bird and Ryan Bird; sister, Joann (Chuck) Leipham; brothers, Richard (Duchess) Bird, John (Robby) Bird, and Kevin (Carol) Bird; brothers-in-law, Larry Kishman, Tom (Sue) Kishman, and Jim (Lisa) Kishman; sister-in-law, Patty (Greg Smith) Kishman; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was a humble man with a kind, gentle soul. He also possessed a keen intellect, a quick wit and a wicked sense of humor. After growing older in Belding, MI, Bob attended MSU and Northwood Institute where computer technology became his vocation. He was also a member of the Michigan National Guard for many years. Bob had a passion for life, family, music and sports of all seasons. Golf, skiing and kayaking were among his favorites. For Bob, every day was a good day to spread smiles to all of those he came in contact with. He faced every challenge in life with intelligence and grace. Bob, your life mattered to each and every one of us! A Celebration of Life will be held on July 16, 2020, at North Beach Park's picnic shelter on Lake Michigan, 18775 N. Shore Drive, Ferrysburg, MI from 6:00 P.M. until sunset. A private family graveside service will take place at Greene Cemetery in Belding, MI.
