Rita Fay (Johnson) Basarabski, age 60, of Grand Rapids, passed away of natural causes in her home late Sunday, September 11, 2016.The daughter of Rick & Ramona (McDowell) Johnson, she was born on December 1, 1955, in Grand Rapids. She was proceeded in death by her mother; and husband, Mike Basarbski. Surviving are her children, Micheal McDowell of Grant, Maria Johnson of Whitecloud, Angela Sturgeon of Wonder Lake IL, Wesley Boyd of Grand Rapids, Jeffrey Boyd of Belding, and Jonathan Boyd of Grand Rapids; 13 grandchildren; one great grand child; brother, Michael Burchfield; and three nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the Heart Side park, 301 Ionia Ave SW, Grand Rapids.
