Richard Berend Minnaar

Richard (Rick) Berend Minnaar, age 62, of Wyoming, Michigan went to be with the Lord after battling cancer on July 21, 2026. He was born on November 4, 1963 to Arthur and Frieda Minnaar who preceded him in death along with his brother, James Minnaar.

He is survived by his siblings: David Minnaar, Barbara and (Greg) McCarty, Sharon and (Larry) Boehm; his nephews and nieces: Sara Postma, Nick and (Carissa) Minnaar, Dan and (Stephanie) McCarty, Lisa and (Shawn) Philips, Matt McCarty, Lindsey and (Jeremy) Post, Casey and (Ryan) DenHartigh; his aunt Carol Hemmes; 32 cousins; 15 great nephews and nieces; and two great-great nephews and nieces.

Rick worked most of his career as a gutter installer for Pries Supply where he was valued for his integrity and quality of work.

Rick’s love and faith in God never wavered — even when his cancer outcome was not going as we had hoped and prayed for. Because of his strong belief in Jesus, we can be certain he is with him today.

Visitation will be Friday, July 24, 2026, 10:00 AM at Lee Street Christian Reformed Church with Funeral Service held 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM, with Pastor Steve DeVries officiating. A light luncheon will immediately follow at church. Private burial will take place at Rosedale Memorial Park.
