Richard Lawens

Richard Francis Lawens, age 86, of Six Lakes, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019 at The Laurels of Carson City. The son of William Christopher & Margaret Mary (Burg) Lawens, he was born on January 19, 1933 in Beal City. On May 24, 1952, in Mount Pleasant, he married Helen Loretta Parmalee and together they raised six children and enjoyed 67 years of marriage until Helen passed away on August 18, 2019. He was also preceded by his parents; and a son, Richard Joseph "Rick" Lawens on May 15, 2019. Surviving are a son, Tim & Louann Lawens of Stanton; four daughters; Catherine Sower of Six Lakes, Robin & Larry Taylor of Norton Shores, Rose Simones of Six Lakes, and Lucinda & Dennis Lyles of Rothbury; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
