Richard L. "Clutch" Kelley, age 62, of Greenville, passed away Saturday afternoon, October 11, 2014 at his home after a brief illness. The son of Jack & Barbara (Lundquist) Kelley, he was born on March 28, 1952 in Lakeview On June 28, 1991, in Stanton, he married the former Margaret Barthel and for over 25 years he worked as a heavy equipment operator with Republic Landfill (formerly Allied Waste) where he took great pride in his job. Clutch will be remembered as a feisty Irishman with a heart of gold who enjoyed hunting, gun collecting, and riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles, but found his greatest joy in time spent with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Margaret "Peg" Kelley on June 2, 2007. Surviving are two step-daughters, Kerin & Bob Naumann of Crystal, and Trecia Wright of Remus; four step-grandchildren, Haley Lutherloh of Crystal, Cameron Honeyager, Celeste Honeyager, and Cassidy Honeyager, all of Rockford; two brothers, Michael & Ann Kelley of Davison, and Thomas Kelley of Lakeview; special friend, Mary Beth Hampton of Greenville; best friends, Don & Gloria Seabolt of Greenville; several nieces and nephews; and many other dear friends. A celebration of life gathering is being planned for a later date. Instead of flowers, memorial contributions to Hospice of Michigan would be appreciated. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements were entrusted to Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, Greenville.
