Richard Hysell

Richard L. Hysell, age 83, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2019. He was born on April 8, 1936, to Virgil & June (Newville) Hysell. Richard married Valerie Vanderveen on September 24, 1955. Richard worked in sales for Luxury Fabrics, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed sports, playing golf, watching Tiger's Baseball, Lions and University of Michigan Football. He volunteered with Valerie at Crash's Landing for many years. Survivors include his wife, Valerie Hysell; children, Kimberly Hysell, Michael (Diane) Hysell and Chris Hysell; step-brother, Raymond (Judy) Shepard. He is preceded in death by his mother, June Shepard.
