Rex Hickman

Visitation: 12-1 p.m. Tuesday Funeral: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday Rex Duane Hickman, age 77, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009 at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. The son of Fred and Retha Grinnelle Hickman, he was born on December 23, 1931 in Lansing. Rex served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Rex was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include a nephew, James Hickman of Grand Rapids and a cousin, David Swarts of Stanton. Funeral services are 1:00 pm on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 from the Chapel of the Grand Rapids Homes for Veterans, 3000 Monroe Ave. N.E., where the family will receive relatives and friends from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Full military honors will be rendered by the Kent County Veterans Honor Guard, with burial following privately in the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans Cemetery.
