Randall Lee Toomey

Randall Lee Toomey, age 65, of Belding, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 24, 2026.

The son of Kenneth and Shirley (Olmstead) Toomey, he was born on April 25, 1960 in Flint and grew up in Durand. During high school, he was on the wrestling team and then went on to become a wrestling all-star in college. He had a bachelor’s degree and opened his own insurance agency. On April 16, 1983, Randy married Beverly Suchanek, and the two had 42 years together.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Ken & Shirley Toomey. He will be missed by his wife, Beverly Toomey; children, Cody Toomey (Mandy) and their kids, Allie and Taylor, Nick Toomey (Tessa) and their kids, Brinley and Emery, and Jesse Toomey (Rachel); his brother, Rick Toomey (Ginger) and their children Mandy and Drew (Julie); his sister Lorry Benson (Bruce); and his sister Lisa Hunter (Jeff) and their children, Michael and Justin.
