Randall J. Hugo, age 77, of Walker, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017 at home surrounded by family.
The son of Victor & Nellie (Rivard) Hugo, he was born on August 24, 1940 in Bay City. Randy was a proud U.S. Army veteran. He then became a welder for over 38 years where he retired from Mueller Springfield in MO. Randall was an avid outdoors men that loved to fish and hunt. With being a jack of all trades "Handy Randy" he could fix up just about anything, but really enjoyed restoring cars.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents; children, Robert "Bobby", and John; and siblings. Surviving are his loving wife, Mona; children, James (Connie) Hugo and Debra Hugo; step-children, Michael Vertz, Michele (Kyle) Hillman, Mona (Pete) Wojtas, Mia Eilers, Marcia (Bram) Van Der Plog; grandchildren, Tristian Hugo, Landon Hugo, Kati Gray, Gabrielle (David) Breesawitz, and Eaun Hugo; step-grandchildren, Blake Vertz, Adam Vertz, Heather (George) Golliver, Andrew (Kelly) Hillman, Jessica Hillman, Evan Hillman, Hunter Wojtas, Harrison Wojtas, Fisher Wojtas, Rembrandt Van Der Plog and Madelaine Van Der Plog; great grandchildren, Dominic, Liam, Olivia, Kerrigan, and Jaxon; and step-great grandchildren, Sadie, Henry, Alivia and George.
A memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m on Tuesday, December 12th at Parish of the Holy Spirit, 2230 Lake Michigan Dr. N.W., Grand Rapids, with a visitation one hour prior and luncheon to follow the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society in Randy's name.
