Ramona A. Thompson, age 79, of Maston Lake, formerly of Wyoming, took Jesus' hand on Tuesday morning, April 16, 2013 at Metron of Cedar Springs. The daughter of Emanuel & Sylvia (Green) Elton, she was born on May 28, 1933 in Evart, Michigan. Married to Jack Thompson for over 35 years, they shared a love for antiques of all kinds - owning an antiques business for many years.
In recent years, Ramona attended church at Cowden Lake Christian Church and enjoyed crocheting, jigsaw puzzles and collecting dolls, especially Kewpies - belonging to the Michigan Merkewps Kewpie Club for many years. She loved her family and was especially proud of her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Thompson; and several step-brothers and step-sisters.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Kelly & Madelyn Thompson of Maston Lake; four grandchildren, Kelsey Thompson of Grand Rapids, Tyson Hoffman of Grand Rapids, Karissa Thompson of Maston Lake, and Lindsey Thompson of Maston Lake; three great-grandchildren, Jordan, Johana, and Ava; a sister, Winona DeYoung of Georgia; a brother, Bud & Kim Elton of Evart; and many nieces and nephews.
